8th,9th Kalasha poojas dated on 5th May 2012 - Details(Posting 4)

You can download them or get a print out.

1. Till now you have done pooja for Swasthik marked raksha kavach.

2. On that you have placed Shodasa bindu triangled raksha kavach and did the pooja.

3. On that you have placed Shreem beejakshar raksha kavach and did the pooja.

4. On that you have placed Hreem beejakshar raksha kavach and did the pooja.

5. On that you have placed Im beejakshar raksha kavach and did the pooja.

6. On that you have placed Gam beejakshar raksha kavach and did the pooja.

7. On that you have placed Om beejakshar raksha kavach and did the pooja.

8. Now decorate the kalasha with gandham(sandalwood paste) and kumkum(kalash can be ragi(bronze), steel , vendi(silver) or pottery).

9. Place the kalasha decorated with gandham and Kumkum on "Om" beejakshar raksha kavach.

10. Now pour water half of the kalasha.Pour water less than half of the kalasha.Now add 2 yalakai( 2cardamoms) for fragrance.

11. Place the coin or coins(3rd raksha kavach) in the kalasha.

12. Place 5 mango leaves OR betel leaves on the top of the Kalash.

13. Now place a coconut on the Kalasha(place the round head on the leaves not the v-shaped into water).

14. Place the red coloured 11 pogulu(2nd raksha kavach) thread on the coconut so that the knot in the middle is on the top of the coconut.

33. Lastly but not the least ask for strength to overcome all the hurdles in life and make this life as smooth as possible with all devotion, faith, purity and stability.Do athma pradishan in mind.

34. Ask for forgiveness for any small mistakes done.

35. After that just move the Kalasha little with your right hand so to say udvasana(end) to the Kalasha.

36. Don't do Kumkum archana in this pooja .

37. After completing all the 9 kalasha poojas only kumkum archana should be done in a particular way on a particular day.That day we use whole grained wheat powder.

38. Freinds and relatives can be invited for this pooja.

   With this you all will have swathik marked white kerchief , 11 pogula red thread suthram, coin(s) and triangled(yellow) and 16 bindhis(kumkum) marked kerchief which is shodasa bindhi included kerchief, Shreem, Hreem, Im, Gam and Om  raksha kavachs and  have completed 9 kalasha poojas.

People who can't read the names(no education, blind and so on):

•     Just pray with all faith, concentration and devotion.

•     Offering(Nyvedhyam)

•     Payasam made of jaggery or sugar.But it should have more Sugandha dravyas(like elachi should be more)

After Kalasha pooja what to do:

1) Coconut:use it for any dish preferably sweet on that day or the next day.

2) The water in Kalasha should be sprinkled on head and remaining water can be used to water tulasi or any other plant.

3) Take yalakai(cardomam) as prasad.

4) The cloth(red) under the kalasha can used for other kalsha poojas.

5) And the rice used should be cooked as sweet and take as prasad but don't waste it or not even the last grains.Don't feed them to dogs either.

6) All the 9 raksha kavachs must be kept safe in almarah and they also must be activated the next day(See below)

Timings to activate 8th and 9th raksha kavachs of 5th May 2012 :

 ------   In India, on 5th May 2012 night show them to the Poorna chandra(Full Moon) and get them activated.You can also activate all the remaining 7 raksha kavachs.

 ------   In Foreign countries, on 5th May 2012 night show them to the Poorna chandra(Full Moon) and get them activated.You can also activate all the remaining 7 raksha

 ------   If you miss out showing them to the Full moon that night(5th May 2012), then showthem to the Sun god the next day before afternoon.

 ------  Once activated raksha kavachs can be activated any number of times or can activate only new raksha kavach.
