5th Kalasha pooja details on 6th April 2012

Till now 5 rakasha kavachs belonging to 5 kalsha poojas have been told.

There are so many people who are doing kalasha poojas from 1 to 5 regularly without missing.

There are also few people who couldn't do the kalasha poojas regularly due some unavoidable reasons.

Before doing Kalasha pooja u must do the following the before day:

On 5th April 2012 Thursday, ie before the day people who wish to do 5th Kalasha pooja must pray to Moon with all devotion. While seeing the moon make sankalp internally that we are doing Kalasha pooja the next day and pray.

In case you miss out on seeing the Moon, then pray to Lord Sun with all devotion before starting the pooja. While seeing the Sun make sankalp internally that we are doing Kalasha pooja that day

 Eligible:

1. People who have done all 4 kalasha poojas before but missed out on doing 5th Kalsaha pooja, can do the kalasha pooja on 6th April 2012.

Raksha kavach for this kalasha pooja:

Square white colored kerchief or cloth which has "Shreem" bheejakshara marked on it with cow's ghee and Kumkum.

NOTE: This white colored cloth(5th raksha kavach)must be of less than the white colored yellow triangled marked bindis in length and breadth(4th raksha kavach). That means it should be less in size which is must.If you kept big size then this kalasha pooja doesn't count.

How to read: Be very careful while reading the names

1. You should read all the 11 names 9 times.

Which gets the total: 11X9=99

You must read from 1st to 11th name from top to bottom once then bottom to top the 2nd time.Repeat the same for 9 times.

If you miss reading the names in the order as said above then the cloth(5th raksha kavach) should be removed and make a new one.

So its better to write them on the paper of total 11names from top to bottom and then bottom to top names in a paper so u don't miss out the order as told.
OR
even better to write all 99 names in the said order so nothing goes wrong

Here are the 99 names all put together by our loyal blogger(Venkat garu). Thanks a lot for the efforts u've put in on behalf of everyone. FOR all the 99 names....................... CLICK  HERE

Doubts:

1. Why we should read the names from top to bottom and bottom to top.And repeat the same 9 times?

2. U may also have a doubt that why this time the number is different as 99 in total?

Explanation:

1a. Srichakram: U may all be well aware of Shrichakra. It has 9 corners. There is a bindhi in the centre. From the bindhi to top it has 4 triangles and from bindhi to bottom it has 5 triangles.

  b. 5 triangles or konas is called Shakti konas(corners).4 triangles or konas is called Shiva konas(corners).

  c. So first time when we read the names from 1st to 11th it called shakti konam starting with shri matrai namah.whe we read from bottom to top 11th to 1st is called Shiva konam starting with shri shivayah namah.

d.By doing this u will read 5 times from top to bottom and 4 times bottom to top.It is 5 shakti konas and 4 Shiva konas.

2a.So the total number would add upto 99. one 9 is Goddess Shakti and the other 9 is Lord Shiva. So 99 is Shiva Shakti together.

  b. When u add 9+9=18, 1+8 is also the same 9

IMP NOTE: If u don't read as said this kalasha pooja will be wasted. So please make note of all the 11 names

Reminder: Don't look for Lalitha Sahasranama Strothram but look for Lalitha Sahasranamavali.U may find many books on the platfroms but most of them have printing errors. So preferably get Gorakhpur's Geetha press book for the names because it doesn't have any mistakes.

19.Offer dhoop, deep,nyvedhyam karpooram(camphor) and tamboolam

20. As nyvedhyam offer pongal to Jaganmaatha.

21.You can offer fruits and coconut as well if you wish.

22. Lastly but not the least ask for strength to overcome all the hurdles in life and make this life as smooth as possible with all devotion, faith, purity and stability.

23. Ask for forgiveness for any small mistakes done.

24. Now take teerdham(offered coconut water) and prasadam

25. After that just move the Kalasha little with your right hand so to say udvasana(end) to the Kalasha.

With this you all will have swathik marked white kerchief , 11 pogula red thread suthram, coin(s) and triangled(yellow) and 16 bindhis(kumkum) marked kerchief which is shodasa bindhi included kerchief and have completed 4 kalasha poojas.

People who can't read the names(no education, blind and so on):
  • Just pray with all faith, concentration and devotion.
  • Offering(Nyvedhyam)
  • Payasam made of jaggery or sugar. But it should have more Sugandha dravyas(like elachi should be more)
After Kalasha pooja what to do:

1) Coconut:use it for any dish preferably sweet on that day or the next day.

2) The water in Kalasha should be sprinkled on head and remaining water can be used to water tulasi or any other plant.

3) Take yalakai(cardomam) as prasad.

4) The cloth(red) under the kalasha can used for other kalsha poojas.

5) And the rice used should be cooked as sweet and take as prasad but don't waste it or not even the last grains.Don't feed them to dogs either.
